Would you rather travel in style or in a ‘Onesie’?

Not since the ‘shell suit’ has there been such a big trend in travel wear. The ‘Onesie’ has been voted as the nation’s favourite travel outfit – and is tipped to become even bigger than the Shell Suit trend of the 80s as the summer travel season hots up – starting this Easter.

One in three of UK adults under 30 now favour the item as their ‘travel in’ outfit. The survey by last minute holiday firm Latedeals.co.uk http://www.latedeals.co.uk=””> of nearly 2,000 adults aged between 18-30 found that the Onesie is most popular with Mancunians and Liverpudlians. While comfort was cited at the most popular reason for favouring the onesie, 38% of those questioned wore it for fashion reasons.

Celebrity stylist, Martine Alexander (whose client list includes Michelle Keegan, Catherine Tyldesley, Samia Ghadie, Natasha Hamilton, Liz McClarnon, Paula Lane, Jennie McAlpine, Ali King, Michelle Collins and Suzanne Shaw) explained why she thought the Onesie had become such a strong travel trend.

More recently, Cara Delevigne has been instagramming herself in different animal onesies! “It’s a way of being comfortable but still being able to express your individuality through the print or pattern. And if you feel like it gives you no shape then, hey, add a belt and make the look truly your own!”
