What Are the 10 Most Famous Celebrity Perfumes?

JENNIFER LOPEZ – GLOW

Actress and singer Jennifer Lopez launched Glow by Coty as part of her lifestyle line in 2002, and by 2004 it had brought in over $300m. It spawned several follow-ups, the first being Miami Glow, and most recent being L.A. Glow. In May 2012, she released her eighteenth fragrance, Glowing by JLo, which was described as the “evolution” of Glow and marked her 10-year anniversary working with Coty, Inc.

Jennifer Lopez said of the original “I wanted Glow to be fresh and clean, but still sexy and sensual – something that feels like you just came out of the shower and are the sexiest person in the world.” The fragrance contains notes of orange, grapefruit, jasmine, orris, irises, vanilla and musk., a combination of her favourite scents. It’s packaged in a clear white bottle, with curvaceous lines to look like a woman’s body, Jennifer Lopez’s “J.Lo” logo written in rhinestones on the bottle, and a complimentary chain inspired by Lopez’s style.

BRITNEY SPEARS – FANTASY

A lot of perfume wearers seemed to be surprised that a scent associated with Britney could smell so good – comments included “It smells good enough to justify admitting in public that I wear a Britney Spears scent” and “One of the best things I’ve ever bought. This perfume smells so unbelievable. I get compliments whenever I wear it.”

So get over your scepticism and try the Toxic singer’s fragrance, described as “a sensual and gourmand scent… It opens with fruity mix of litchi, golden quince and kiwi. The provocative heart is composed of jasmine and white chocolate. The base combines orris root, musk and woods.” Fantasy is the second fragrance by Britney Spears, and was launched in 2005. This is “a love potion locked up in an attractive bottle adorned with Swarovski crystals.”

Britney Spears endorsed her first Elizabeth Arden perfume Curious in 2004, and made $100 million in sales in its first year. In September 2005, she released Fantasy, and in 2006, Spears launched Curious in Control as a limited edition fragrance.

As of 2020, Britney Spears had released twenty-eight fragrances under her brand, including the unisex fragrance Prerogative, and as of 2012, her fragrances brand had grossed over $1.5 billion worldwide. According to a report in 2013, a bottle of a Britney Spears fragrance was sold every 15 seconds worldwide.
