Oscars 2022: Shortlist in 10 Categories Unveiled

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences recently unveiled its shortlist in 10 categories for the highly anticipated 94th award ceremony. Hollywood’s biggest names will be strutting it down the red carpet, pampered up and posing in front of the flashguns of hundreds of photographers, hoping they manage to get their hands on the highly regarded statuette.

The shortlist is in 10 categories which include international and documentary features in addition to makeup and hairstyling, short subject, original score, original song, live-action short, visual effects and sound. The ceremony will honour the best and most popular films released between 1st March 2021 and December 31st 2021.

Nominations voting begins on Thursday, January 27, 2022, and concludes on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 with final nominations announced on 8th February 2022.

When and where will the Oscars take place?

The glittering ceremony is due to take place on the 27th March 2022 at the DolbyTheatre in Hollywood.
