Homemade Sherry Vinegar Glaze

Check out this delicious homemade sherry vinegar glaze recipe from The Food Masters.

Perfect for adding to any dish to give a lovely bittersweet full bodied taste.

A little goes a long way and this will keep in the fridge for a month, so you can add to anything you have cooked to give extra flavour.

Can be used on meat, poultry, fish, seafood, pasta, rice, salad, vegetables, fruits and desserts.

Ingredients

125ml macetilla sherry vinegar

Three tablespoons of either brown sugar, honey or maple syrup

 

Method

Put macetilla sherry vinegar into a small saucepan on a medium heat.

Stir in three tablespoons of your chosen sweetener (brown sugar, honey or maple syrup).

When mixture begins to bubble, turn heat to low, and allow to simmer about 10 minutes.

Stir regularly during the simmer, you will notice it thicken up and reduce to half.

Remove from the heat and set aside to cool.

Store in fridge and use sparingly on top of grilled meat, poultry, fish and vegetables. In pasta rice dishes. drizzled on salads, fruit and desserts.
