Cleaning your house is essential for health and comfort, but so many cleaning products include chemicals which can be irritants or are bad for the environment. Clean Living presents some alternatives
What are the most harmful chemicals in conventional cleaning products?
Bleach is one of the most common chemicals used in cleaning products and is dangerous because it frequently mixes with other products to create Chlorine. Chlorine is harmful when touched or inhaled and is especially harmful to the aquatic environment. Other main brand cleaning products are often strongly acidic or alkaline so can harm eyes and skin meaning protective gloves should be worn during use. To underline just how dangerous they are, most cleaning products have extensive warnings on the labels.
How do Clean Living products substitute them?
Our biological products combine plant derived surfactants with live bacillus bacteria (along with environmentally friendly preservatives). The bacteria create enzymes to break down dirt – the exact same process used in nature, and surfactants allow the dirt to be easily wiped away. Most importantly, these healthy bacteria live on in the surface long after the cleaning has taken place, helping keep homes clean and free from harmful bacteria and viruses.
What are the main products in the Clean Living range?
Cleaning products for the whole house but the most popular and effective (in my opinion) are Biological Kitchen Cleaner and Degreaser, Biological Bathroom Cleaner and Laundry Strips.

Are Clean Living products as effective as conventional cleaners?
They are more effective as they provide a longer lasting effect (due to the ongoing effect of the live bacteria).
Why are concentrates more sustainable than conventional cleaners?
Traditional cleaning products are sold in single use plastic bottles, the majority of which are mixed with water before sale. A large amount of CO2 is produced both in the production and transport of the filled bottles. The sachets can be recycled, and far less CO2 is released in the production and transportation since the water is added at the point of use.
Why does Clean Living use aluminium spray bottles?
Aluminium is a sustainable alternative to plastic, in fact, 75% of aluminium ever made is still in use today. It is much more durable and can be used time and time again.
How does Clean Living’s subscription service work?
The customer can choose the frequency of their subscription service based on how often they use their products. It is so simple and new sachets arrive straight to their door. We offer all our customers 10% off our subscription service so they can save on their favourite products.
How does Clean Living’s Ambassador programme work?
The programme is a business opportunity that works around other commitments part-time and equally has the potential to develop into a full-time job with incredible earning potential. To become an Ambassador, it is necessary to purchase one of the beautiful starter kits which includes everything needed to start working and earning. Clean Living works hard to support its ambassadors and we supply full training and their own website to take orders.
What is the story behind the Clean Living company?
The Clean Living concept was created by a small team that recognised that the market for domestic cleaning products caused great damage to the environment in terms of the release of toxic chemicals, the disposal of single use plastic bottles and the generation of CO2. They figured there must be a better way…and Clean Living International was born.
