Celebrity Angels Stars Martin Roberts and Dr Ranj Singh on Christmas Property TV

Two favourite BBC property shows have aired the first of their celebrity spin-off episodes, and Celebrity Angels stars Martin Roberts and Dr Ranj Singh are featured. Martin Roberts, celebrity guest editor of Property & Home, appears on the celebrity editions of Homes Under the Hammer, while Dr Ranj Singh, celebrity guest contributor to Healthy Child, appears on Escape to the Country.

For the first time the much-loved daytime TV shows will feature a line-up of stars from Strictly Come Dancing, The Chase, The One Show and more. On Homes Under The Hammer, the hosts will be guiding a different household name each day while hunting property investments, and the celebrities will assist prospective homeowners while they face the chance of haggling during the auction.

Show veterans Martin Roberts, Dion Dublin and Martel Maxwell will also be on the spin-off episodes, offering their knowledge and expertise as they assist celebrities in taking charge of the series for the week. Well-known face will include The One Show presenter Alex Jones and BBC weather reporter Owain Wyn Evans. They will be joined by The Traitors star Amanda Lovett and pop star Toyah Wilcox.

Escape To The Country will put celebrities in charge of the house hunting, with former Strictly Come Dancing pro dancers Janette Manrara and Aljaz Skorjanec, I’m A Celebrity star Christopher Biggins, Bucks Fizz singer Cheryl Baker, quizzer Jenny ‘The Vixen’ Ryan, and TV Doctor Ranj Singh. The celebrity house hunters will be exploring the serene landscapes and lifestyles of the Home Counties, Cheshire, the Peak District, Lancashire, Kent and Sussex.

Escape To The Country showcases idyllic rural Britain’s property market, giving urban homeowners an insight into a prospective country life. Guided by the judgement of property experts, the buyers decide whether or not to swap the hustle and bustle of city living in favour of the slower quietude of the a rural cottage in the countryside.

Homes Under the Hammer will air celebrity episodes daily from 11:15am on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, whilst Escape To The Country will air Ranj and Jenny’s episodes at 3pm this week before moving into a primetime slot over the Christmas break.
