Beef with mango

Delicious beef with mango cooked in white wine sauce.
Serves 2


Ingredients

250g lean beef fillet
2 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tsp cornflour
½ tsp black pepper
1 ½ tsp brown sugar
2 clove garlic
1 whole ripe mango
4 sprigs coriander, for garnish
2 spring onions
2 tbsp oil
4 thin slices ginger
4 tbsp white wine

Method

  1. Slice the beef thinly across the grain.


  2. In a large bowl, mix the oyster sauce, cornflour, pepper and sugar.


  3. Toss the beef in this mixture to season.


  4. Chop the garlic.


  5. Peel the mango and slice the flesh thinly.


  6. Chop the coriander and spring onions for the garnish.


  7. Heat the oil in a wok or frying pan and stir-fry the garlic and ginger until aromatic.


  8. 10. Increase the heat to high, add the beef and stir-fry for fi ve minutes.


  9. Stir in the wine and the mango to warm it through.


  10. Garnish with the chopped coriander and spring onions.
