Painless laser destroys fat
During the procedure, the laser passes over the skin and destroys the fat cells

Scientists have designed a laser that destroys fat cells instantly

Patients can now drop two dress sizes in two weeks, without having to diet or exercise, claim doctors.

The Zerona treatment is completely pain free and costs £1,000 for six 40-minute sessions.

During the procedure, the laser passes over the skin and destroys the fat cells.

The treatment has reportedly been used by US celebrities to quickly slim for events as no recovery time is needed and there are no scars.

But the laser does not work on obese people, as it is unable to cut through the layers of fat.

Last year it emerged that surgeons were considering offering a new breast enhancement operation that takes excess fat from the waist.

The £8,000 procedure sees fat extracted from where it is not wanted and injected into the skin of the breasts.

Trials of the technique are thought to have proven that fat grafts can last longer and provide a better appearance than implants.

The procedure was discussed by top surgeons from around the world at the annual meeting of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons.
