Many employees not happy at work
Many people believe that ‘doing a job I enjoy’ is key for job satisfaction

Many of us are unhappy in our current job, a new research has revealed

A study, carried out by YouGov, into the satisfaction of British workers has revealed that over a quarter would like to change their job.

When asked what improves job satisfaction, salary, hours and achievement came high on the list.

Nearly three quarters said that ‘doing a job I enjoy’ is key for job satisfaction, while 64 per cent admitted that a decent salary is crucial.

Mike Head, of Train4TradeSkills, commented on the research. He said, ‘There are many people working in Britain who are not satisfied in their current job and while pay is deemed important, it’s interesting to see that big salaries do not always equal career satisfaction. People are looking for flexible hours, being their own boss and doing work they enjoy and are keen to find a career that offers these benefits.’
