Get a catwalk quiff
Quiffs dominated the A/W Max Mara catwalk

If you’ve been inspired by Rihanna’s quiff, create your own this party season

Towering rockabilly quiffs dominated the catwalks this season at MaxMara, Gucci and PPQ, and have been spotted on stars from Heidi Klum to Rihanna. The good news is that this edgy look is easy to achieve. International Creative Director at Trevor Sorbie and veteran of London, Paris and Milan Fashion Weeks Angelo Seminara says, ‘The key ingredients to achieving the perfect quiff are texture and staying power.

Use the Trevor Sorbie Professional Beautiful Volume Volume Booster (£4.99) before styling to create texture and lift at the roots, then clip the top section of the hair out of the way. Now slick down the remaining hair by tucking it behind your ears with a tail comb and some Trevor Sorbie Professional Beautifully Moisturised Goop (£4.99). Roll the top section of hair around a big bristle brush, backcombing it slightly at the roots and through the ends to give more staying power. Smooth over into a quiff and pin the ends in place with grips. You can add more height by adding more texture. Finally, mist with a fine hairspray to hold the look in place all night.’
