Colour choice
Use pale pinks and lilacs over shocking pink for girls

Children can be fickle, so choose soft colours that they won’t hate in years to come.

A themed bedroom will ensure your child is the envy of all their friends. If you don’t fancy building a shrine to a cartoon character, they may be happy with a motif such as hearts or an animal themed room.

When it comes to colours, subtle shades will tire less quickly. Use pale pinks and lilacs over shocking pink for girls, or try combinations such as deep pink with pistachio green for a great contrast.

For boys, red and white or navy and white can look very crisp, while varying blues usually go down well. Try introducing a touch of denim or even some bright red and green contrasts.
